The optics industry experienced a great deal at opti '12 trade show. Exhibitors contributed with numerous ideas and innovations. opti '12 provided the right setting for positivity and interaction.
The opti forum 2012 once again provided the trade show visitors with an interesting and exciting fringe programme. The latest trends and innovations of the industry were presented in short lectures and panel discussions. Take a look back at the programme of the opti forum 2012.

In cooperation with several manufacturers from the optical industry and with shop fitting specialists, the specialist journal “Der Augenoptiker” presented a prototype shop for the fourth time at opti '12. Visitors experienced an optimised shop design featuring many ideas for their own businesses. As part of this project, the companies involved set up a complete specialist optical store in Hall C4, where everyone who visited the stand witnessed an idea that is unique within the industry.
There was, for example, a demonstration of software applications, iPads were introduced and sample shop windows were presented. A modern refraction area, a low-vision area and an innovative workshop could be found in the prototype shop. Additionally, there was a range of products that offered something for every customer – and at the highest level.
Students from the Beuth Hochschule Berlin (Beuth University of applied sciences Berlin) guided visitors to the booth through the prototype shop. Every visitor also received a booklet which introduced the industry partners involved and the prototype shop concepts.
